To help you understand the importance of data protection laws and information security and how to comply with the changing legal landscape in this area Mark Adair from Mason Hayes and Curran and Emerald de Leeuw from EuroComply are hosting a freeData Protection and information security evening in BOI Workbench, Grand Canal Square, on october 24th.
Emerald, will talk about the importance of data protection for software companies. Emerald is a data protection specialist and the CEO of EuroComply. EuroComply is data protection compliance software (SaaS) that helps companies assess, track and demonstrate compliance with the new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). EuroComply takes an accountability-based approach to compliance. Its offerings include gap-analysis, training, reporting/audit trails as well as analytics and benchmarking capabilities.
Mark,who advises both Irish and international clients on a range of complex technology contracts, will discuss the changing legal landscape in the area of data protection and where the law is heading for technology companies in the next few years. He has a particular focus on the areas of software, cloud computing, data protection and fintech. He is also recognised as a thought leader in the Irish technology law sector and has recently authored a number of articles for Irish and UK technology publications and presented at national industry conferences.
