1 min pitch for what you are doing now?
I am focusing primarily on large digital marketing campaigns, mainly in the tourism industry. I’m working with various hotels across Ireland helping them create a digital marketing strategy and then I implement it. I’ve had some create results, increasing online revenue directly from facebook by over 800% for one of my clients.
How was the last year, what worked well, what didn’t move as quickly as you would have liked?
I’ve had some really interesting clients over the last year including a politician, an author and a racecourse! I’ve learnt a lot from working with these clients and have been able to adapt and include various styles of marketing, not just digital. This year I’ll be embarking on a Diploma in Sales and Marketing and then my Masters in Digital Marketing in Sep. I’m very excited to broaden my knowledge and to start adding offline marketing options to the services I provide for my clients.

What were your big wins?
My group The Irish Women in Business Network has nearly 2000 members with new members requesting to join every day. As a result of the success of this group I was invited by Facebook to join an exclusive marketing group giving me access to new features for testing before other digital marketers. I’ve also been invited to speak at some great events such as Tech Connect and the ZipYard Ireland Annual Conference. I was successful in obtaining a tender with the Local Enterprise Office for providing social media for business course and been working with National and International companies such as the Mount Juliet Estate, Bunratty Castle Hotel and MealIQ in the UK. I also worked on large digital marketing campaigns with the international business Prim-Ed Publishing where I worked with teams in the UK, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia. These campaigns had great results including a video reaching 80k people and a virtual launch party where I went Live on Facebook on the hour every hour promoting their new website.

What are your plans for the future?
This year I have big plans. As well as my studies I plan on launching a new digital marketing event with some big names already secured for speaking. I run a network of women in business called The Irish Women in Business Network and we’ll be having our annual conference on the 22nd June in the Arklow Bay Hotel. I’ll also be working again on TEDxWexford and am launching a new eLearning aspect to my business. I run Digital Marketing and Social Media for Business workshops all over Ireland so this year I’m designing a new online learning experience and will be offering these workshops online as well as in person. I’m also working closely with the amazing event MoJoFest taking place in Galway in June, which is very exciting.
Which influencers and websites do you follow to keep up to date with the latest developments?
Irish Tech News of course! 🙂 I also keep an eye on Mari Smith, Neil Patel and Gary Vaynerchuk as well as Brian Fanzo and Yusuf Omar. I’ve signed up to Google Alerts to ensure I get the most recent articles emailed to me directly. I also love tuning in to Jess Kelly on Newstalk for TechTalk.
