LovelyBeards We love them, women love them, men love them. email: hello@lovelybeards.com social media award winners 2015 best instagram!

Describe the company, the elevator pitch …

LovelyBeards is the best community based website for beards and beard lovers. We sell our own beard oils, balms and t-shirts whilst promoting all things beard related.

How are you different?

We are focused on the community. When we launched the feedback was to put our logo onto t-shirts, 2 days later we sold out. We then listened to their requests and created our own oil and balms. These took a while to perfect but now we are selling them on our website and last week we were thrilled to announce that we are now selling our products in Beards & Barnets in Templebar – Dublin.

Why will the company / product do well?

It has already done well for such a short space of time. We listen to the needs of the community and stay fresh. We are only coming up to a year old and have already been nominated in finalists in several awards and won a social media award for our instagram page.

Where are you based? How long will you stay there?

We are based in Dublin Ireland but the site is global and we want to be local to everyone.

When was the company launched?

It was November last year.

What have been your biggest wins to date?

If we are honest it would be lasting longer than most competitors and a big boost of confidence was winning a Social Media Award.

What type of people are you trying to attract?

We wouldn’t say we are trying to attract anyone in particular. We don’t want to limit ourselves or to not appear open to an audience. We have people on our site of all ages, races, from all over the world and our orders reflect this.

Tell us about your team?

We are a team of razor haters.

What are you long term plans for your product / company?

Next year will be a big one for us. At the moment we are only in 2nd gear and want to really push the brand into a global market and to create some really cool events and products.

What are your favourite tech gadgets?

Our iphones would be one, plus we use macbooks. On a social media side of things we love hootsuite, and our cameras.

What tech gadgets do you wish you could use to help you?

Ideally we need a ipad / tablet to help us on the move and a higher quality camera and video camera. We don’t want to limit ourselves, but something like those would be great.

Anything else you’d like to add / we should have asked?

We are only a small start up. Focusing on the community and take inspiration from others, but want to carve out our own path and help others.

We strongly believe in a few small motos, ‘Just be sound’, and ‘it is always better to work with people, rather than against’.
