Skynews is the 24hr news channel run by BSkyB and they’ve released an app for Android, BlackBerry and iOS devices. The app is nicely laid out and allows you to quickly browse the top stories in a variety of categories as well as watch Skynews videos. On iOS you can watch live tv (either Skynews live for free or Sky Go for Sky subscription customers). The app allows you to submit stories on the go. So if you come across something really news worthy you too can be a reporter if you wish.
