Sigenergy, a global energy storage innovator, has further cemented its market leadership in Ireland, having been ranked the No. 1 energy storage brand in Ireland by SunWiz, the independent solar and energy consultancy.

Sigenergy’s market position is set to continue as demand for renewable energy reaches an all time high in Ireland, driven by strong installer adoption and booming demand across residential and commercial projects. In December 2025 alone, state-owned transmission system operator (TSO) EirGrid reported that nearly half (43.8%) of the country’s electricity came from renewables, while 2024 saw a 25% increase in solar panel installations across the country.

This push for renewable energy is partly due to rising energy bills and cost of living. Ireland’s electricity prices are roughly 30% higher than the EU average, and are expected to increase by €1.75 a month for the next five years.

Sigenergy is also continuing to develop on an international scale, opening a third factory in Nantong, Suzhou Province, China, in February 2026. Alongside its top position in Ireland, Sigenergy also holds No. 1 rankings in several other international markets, including Australia and South Africa, demonstrating that its success in Ireland is part of a broader, consistent global growth trend.

Ivan Ivanov, Managing Director, UK & Ireland said: “At a time where renewables are becoming a viable sustainable solution as well as a cost-effective option during the cost of living crisis, we are pleased to be able to offer Irish consumers and installers our expanding range of products.

“We are extremely proud of this recognition from SunWiz, and have ambitious plans to double down on our growth. In the last two years, we have successfully secured almost a 30% share of the global renewable energy market, 33% of which was in Ireland. We hope to continue to lead in Ireland, and grow our presence in other countries with developing renewable energy projects.”
