The SIGEF 2015 Social Innovation and Global Ethics Forum 2015 recently concluded in Geneva, Switzerland, organised by Horyou the Social Network for Social Good. Irish Tech News also interviewed it’s founder Yonathan Parienti in July.
NGOs, project holders and a notable line-up of international speakers assembled at the Social Innovation and Global Ethics Forum (SIGEF 2015) – a three-day international event dedicated to celebrate positivity, diversity, creativity and action worldwide.
Geneva, Switzerland, Nov. 2, 2015 — Horyou, the social network for social good, and the Horyou Foundation hosted the second edition of the Social Innovation and Global Ethics Forum at the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices in Geneva, Switzerland, Oct. 23 – 25.For three days, the city of Geneva hosted more than one hundred non-profit organizations from all over the world, together with sixty international speakers, in 14 sessions (plenary and discussion panels), focusing on proposing effective solutions shaping better times to come.
Everywhere, everyday, exceptional women and men, project holders or members of NGOs are proving to the rest of the world that their dedication and actions are making a real difference. Above all, they are demonstrating that good can change the world. At SIGEF 2015, they some had the opportunity to interact, showcase their work and build bridges for future collaborations.

In addition, more than fifty social entrepreneurs, ten of whom came from the UNESCO Youth Forum, attended SIGEF 2015 and shared their innovative projects with the participants. The three awards that were granted are as follows:

As a concluding remark, founder and CEO, Yonathan Parienti announced the launch of the #GreatDoingGood by Horyou campaign. “SIGEF 2015 marks the starting a of global call for positive actions. Over 60 international media outlets and partners brought global visibility to the second edition of the Social Innovation and Global Ethics Forum – SIGEF 2015. The forum was streamed live and covered by more than forty international media partners worldwide. On a special note, SIGEF 2015 media partner Pencilline, a media provider company based in Riyadh, broadcasted SIGEF 2015 event in 20,000 taxis’ mobile televisions over the full three days, across the Kingdom.
