Shortlist announced for Digital DNA Awards 2018

When and where is it on?

Digital DNA Awards take place on 26 April 2018 in St. Anne’s Cathedral, Belfast. Digital DNA itself is on between 19 and 20 June 2018 in St. George’s Market, Belfast.

How many years has it been going?

The Digital DNA Awards are in their 3rd year while Digital DNA is in its 6th year.

What was the inspiration to start it?

The Digital DNA Awards were created to recognise the phenomenal achievements of individuals, projects and companies in Northern Ireland who are enjoying global success. In recent years, Northern Ireland has enjoyed unprecedented growth in the digital tech sector and the awards were created in response to that growth, creating the platform for local companies and individuals to be recognised amongst their peers and to celebrate the wealth of home-grown talent.

Digital DNA was created by the very thing it promotes – collaboration. Formed in Northern Ireland, where a strong knowledge economy has attracted and created some of the leading technology companies in the world, the inspiration came from a discussion over a few drinks where it became clear that there was a real need to traditional businesses to overcome the challenges they face and realise the opportunities digital technology presents.

What exciting things can people look forward to?

Digital DNA 2018 will bring together over 3,000 delegates from the largest conglomerates to micro start-ups and entrepreneurs to hear from over 150 speakers from some of the biggest names in tech. Taking place on 19 & 20 June in St Georges Market, Belfast, delegates will also be able to engage with over 100 exhibitors, discovering the latest digital innovations and attend practical sessions, helping to expand their knowledge on how digital technology can be utilised in their working life.

It also provides a platform where knowledge and expertise on the latest digital innovations can be discussed through practical and insightful content written by those who are utilising it in their working life.

150+ speakers will be in attendance, as well as 100+ exhibitors and an anticipated 3,000 delegates.
