“Self Service Governed Data Analytics” – IMGS & Talend Breakfast Session May 22nd

“Self Service Governed Data Analytics” is a free morning Breakfast Session hosted by IMGS and Talend in the Spencer Hotel, Dublin on May 22nd.

We spoke to the organisers to find out a little more about the event and why people should attend.

What was the inspiration to hold the event?

At IMGS, we recognise the exponential growth of data, organisations today are swimming in oceans of data but are unable to take full advantage of its potential. These same organisations estimate that they are only analysing approximately 12% of their data, according to new Forrester research. To help build a stronger data-driven culture, organisations are turning to Self-Service Analytics.

Why should people attend?

Self-Service Analytics by its very definition empowers business professionals through enablement. Providing data access to a wider audience within an organisation to encourage them to combine disparate sources of data, and create their own customised queries and reports, without involving their IT group.

Our experience in this area has led to the understanding that, the key to successfully implementing self-service analytics in an organisation is to ensure that it’s implemented in tandem with data governance processes to guarantee data security.

What can people expect on the day?

To demonstrate how organisations have adopted governed self-service analytics using Talend, and gained a competitive advantage over their competitors by becoming data agile and responding to informed data insights in shorter time frames, we would like to invite people to our upcoming Breakfast Session. There will be a number of presentations followed by a Q&A session and a chance to network with the other attendees.

When and where is it on?

This free event is being held at the Spencer Hotel, Excise Walk, IFSC, Dublin on May 22nd from 8 am – 10.30am.

Registration and Breakfast run from 8.00am – 8.30am, followed by presentations and ending with a Q & A session.
