How many years has it been going?
Trilogy Technologies holds a number of workshops throughout the year. This is the first to specifically address GDPR and solutions that assist with governance and compliance.
What was the inspiration to start it?
A recent Computer Weekly survey (IT Priorities 2017) found that IT decision makers in UK and Ireland will be spending almost half their time on GDPR compliance and security related projects. The deadline is now not so far away as European companies must be compliant by May 2018.
The same survey found that cloud-based as a service software is the top deployment model companies plan to use in 2017 in both the UK (57.3%) and across Europe (46.9%). This event will enable attendees to learn about such cloud-based practical solutions that address GDPR compliance.
What exciting things can people look forward to for the 2017 version?
Brian Honan, one of Ireland’s foremost experts in cybersecurity will be a guest speaker talking about issues related to corporate compliance. George Kenny from Veeam will also be presenting. Veeam is Trilogy’s partner and supplier of cloud-based solutions enabling GDPR compliance including high-speed data recovery, data loss avoidance and verified recoverability.
