Saorview Connect – RTÉ’s free-to-air television service – has just released its new recording function in response to consumer demand. Saorview Connect includes benefits such as catch-up TV and Spotlight, which gives you all the best daily programme recommendations. Saorview Connect is now complete with top of the range functionality allowing customers to pause and record live TV plus they can series link their favourite programmes on Saorview.
Speaking about the new recording features, Richard Waghorn, Director of Transformation and Technology at RTÉ, said:
“The Saorview team and I are delighted to announce the availability of the recording features on Saorview Connect. It was developed in response to consumer feedback, and this is the most advanced Saorview box yet, delivering a premium quality TV experience for Irish consumers.”
With the new recording feature on Saorview Connect, users can record one TV channel while watching another and use the smart library to organise and manage recordings.

The new record function is available to all customers who own a Saorview Connect box. Simply download the software update to your Saorview Connect Box and attach a USB3 external hard drive.
