A Samsung Exec confirmed the existence of the recently rumoured S3 Mini today. Speaking earlier, Samsung’s JK Shin, said the device will have a 4″ screen and will be officially unveiled tomorrow.

He didn’t offer up anymore details but as usual, the Internet is full of “confirmed by a trusted source” leaks.

So far the following specs seem to be the most agreed upon:

  • 4″ 800 x 480 pixel screen
  • 5mp camera around the back
  • 1500mAh battery
  • Dual core 1Ghz processor
  • 16GB internal memory, expandable via micro SD
  • Android 4.1 Jellybean

Given that the S3 has been a great success it makes sense for them to build on the name and offer a more affordable entry model. The 4″ screen will also be a hit with people who find the larger screens less manageable.

All should be revealed tomorrow and we’ll keep you updated.
