StartUp Ballymun is back with a Panel of Founders under 30

Startup Ballymun is holding a FREE business event on the 24th of April in Ballymun, Dublin.

“Rise Up: Innovation Unleashed” focuses on the example of young entrepreneurs” comments Liam Barry, of Dublin City Council, ”and features a Panel of Entrepreneurs aged 19 to 27, the event showcases early-stage business journeys, inspiring others with their energy and innovation.”

The lines are blurring between businesses, enterprises, community ventures, social enterprises, nonprofits, and charities. These days, we see innovative “entrepreneurs for change” emerging in all kinds of organizations, at various stages of their careers.

The Panel of Entrepreneurs – who are they?

  • Two are recent students of Trinity Comprehensive, Ballymun,
  • One is a winner of the Irish James Dyson Award 2023, the Top 20 Global Inventions – James Dyson Award and the Top 100 Global Innovations – Prototypes For Humanity.
  • Four are studying at university.
  • Three are based in Ballymun.
  • Two are winners of the Small Firms Association Emerging Business Award, and a Gold Winner at the National Startup awards.
  • Two are on the Enterprise Ireland New Frontiers programme.
  • One is a winner of Fingal Chamber’s New Business Award 2023.
  • One has a full-time job with Community Foundation Ireland.

About StartUp Ballymun is a series of entrepreneurial events funded by Dublin City Council, aimed at promoting enterprise and fostering a supportive ecosystem for startups in the Ballymun area and north Dublin. Through networking opportunities, panel discussions, and support resources, StartUp Ballymun empowers entrepreneurs of all stages to connect, learn, and grow their ventures.
