As two highly motivated business owners, Karl Walsh & Terry O’Leary are working on creating yet another unique, industry leading event within Dublin.
Karl has worked to create what is the now the leading comic & film convention in the country, Dublin Comic Con. A sellout event each year which has now expanded to it’s new home on the city quays. This years event will be held in the Convention Centre Dublin on August 8th & 9th.
Terry, a media producer & brand consultant, has worked with government bodies, professionals in both the dance & music industry as well as multinationals within the entertainment field to create unique & trend setting media content, now working under his new company here in Dublin, Official M82.
“Working closely on Dublin Comic Con throughout the last three years we’ve often talked about blending the community and culture that’s been built up around the convention with the global appeal that comes with self produced online content, in an effort to further reinforce the brands.
The challenge was creating a suitable platform that would combine both of our talents, live events and content production into a more regular yet affordable format. Respawn was the evolution of that.
“A monthly event, catering to the geek culture which we adore, with a strong focus on gaming and it’s related content. It’s very much an adult orientated event, so grab your friends for some food & drink, have a quick gaming session in one of our many gaming booths or lock & load in our nightly tournaments. When we combine this with our plans for content production surrounding this event, we’re hoping we can deliver yet another sellout show to our fantastic community.”
