Rent the Runway, Galway, is proud to announce a new partnership with TeenTurn, an organisation dedicated to providing teenage girls with hands-on experience in STEM.
The collaboration was recently marked by a special event where Rent the Runway donated 32 decommissioned laptops to TeenTurn. At the event, hosted in Rent the Runways European Software and Technology Hub in Galway, TeenTurn participants shared their inspiring journeys and the positive impact of TeenTurn’s programs on their lives. They also highlighted the significant role TeenTurn has played in their learning, development, and career choices.
The laptop donation is part of Rent the Runway’s ongoing commitment to supporting educational initiatives empowering young women in technology. As a female-founded and led company, with a female CEO/COO and SVP of Engineering, and women in leadership positions across the company, Rent the Runway provides a unique environment to foster a passion for technology among women.
“TeenTurn provides a unique opportunity for education and industry organisations to inspire and engage through long-term relationships,” said Iseult Mangan, Regional Manager, TeenTurn. “Our partnership with Rent the Runway will help us continue to empower young women in STEM fields.”
“These laptops will support the girls’ educational journeys, providing essential tools for their STEM development. Rent the Runway is proud to support TeenTurn’s mission and provide practical support to young women. We believe in the power of mentorship and providing the necessary tools to help these girls succeed in their STEM careers” said Becky Case, SVP of Engineering, Rent the Runway.
RTR and TeenTurn plan to continue their collaboration with future initiatives aimed at providing more resources and support for TeenTurn’s programs.
