When and where is it on?

Remote Crypto Con will take place online on 24-26 June, anyone can join from anywhere in the world.

How many years has it been going?

It’s the first year it will be running and we aim to make an annual event.

What was the inspiration to start it?

The cryptocurrency industry has a problem: its conferences. Events are usually held in expensive cities and far-flung luxury destinations. Everybody wants mass adoption, but most people weren’t able to attend these conferences, even before COVID-19 brought an abrupt stop all to all offline gatherings.

It was apparent that there is a need for a free online event, so we’ve created one. This conference serves as a counterweight to expensive events and hopefully a blueprint for how to host an immersive online experience.

What exciting things can people look forward to?

Remote Crypto Con will gather some of the most influential speakers, Coinshares’ Meltem Demirors and The Block’s Mike Dudas are already among the confirmed ones. More exciting speakers will be announced soon.

What opportunities are on offer for those attending?

Attendees will take part in live Q&As and 1-on-1 meetings. In the coming weeks, we will roll out a Discord channel so attendees start to connect before the event. We have some ideas to make attending this event fun and memorable. Beyond the great content from our speakers, we look forward to creating opportunities for sparking personal connections.

Who will be speaking?

The speaking program will be focused on five categories: the business of crypto, digital assets & developers, investor sentiment, crypto and the media, and controversial opinions.  Coinshares’ Meltem Demirors, The Block’s Mike Dudas, executives such as CEOs of Gitcoin and Binance US, as well as some prominent investors are already on the speaker roster.

What tips would you give to people attending to get the most out of it?

Have a clear idea of what you from the event. There will be a lot of content and plenty of new people to meet. New discoveries are great, but if you could take a few minutes to think about what you want, that would help to find the most relevant content.

How can people book tickets / when does it usually sell out?

General attendance tickets are free and available at http://remotecryptocon.com/ . The VIP tickets have some extra perks such as access to live speaker office hours and replays of all sessions. It’s best to sign up now to meet fellow participants and speakers before it gets crowded!
