We found out more about RebelCon, the upcoming technology conference in Cork on 16 June.

When is it on?

Friday June 16th in Cork City

How many years has it been going?

This is the first time that this we are running this one day technology conference. The event will be held at the newly opened Republic of Work in Cork city and will features a line up of national and international speakers with a wealth of software industry experience. Talks will span the latest technology, cultural and development practices in the software industry.

What was the inspiration to start it?

The IT sector is booming in Cork with global tech giants and local SME’s building world leading software products. It seems unusual that there has yet to be a dedicated software conference for developers Leeside. That’s why Newsweaver and DesignWizard have joined forces with it@cork Skillnet to create RebelCon – a not for profit technology conference.

What exciting things can people look forward to on the day?

The conference will feature two tracks – a software development track and an agile track.

If you are a software developer, designer, tester, technical leader, or product pioneer, RebelCon is for you. We’re confirming a number of international speakers and industry leaders for the event and our call for speakers is now open, you can expect the very best in Irish and international speakers covering topics such as Continuous delivery, MicroServices, DevOps, Cloud Computing, Agile Practices and Delivering Value Faster.

What tips would you give to people attending to get the most out of it?

Purchase your ticket as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. We’re expecting over 200 attendees on the day. This is a great opportunity for the tech community of Cork to come together and learn from each other, please get involved and spread the word!

How can people book tickets?
