A new website allowing car owners to book a specific garage based on service and price has been launched by an IT specialist based in Dun Laoghaire.
WhoCanFixMyCar.ie lets consumers search from a list of local garages and book the service directly on either their PC, tablet or smartphone.
The site allows to input an Eircode or address and search for relevant local garages nearby.
“The site is there to simplify the process of booking your car in for a service or repair. It saves time for both the customer and the garage and it allows anyone to find their nearest service points,” explains Jan Merken, CEO of WhoCanFixMyCar.ie
“Garages receive quote alerts by email & text message which decreases the response time. Also, the website has a built-in scheduling system and a chat inbox allowing for direct contact between garage and customer.”
The site provides complete transparency to consumers as all the garage offerings are listed in a comprehensive way allowing users to search and compare with all the information they need.
‘WhoCanFixMyCar.ie has been made completely free for customers. It would make sense not to charge this service to the customer, instead, a deal is made with the garages for the work they receive through the site”, explained Jan.
“I like to compare this concept with booking a hotel e.g. It’s very similar: You can make a choice between different businesses, check reviews & make a booking, all online.”
Consumers simply enter their car registration & service/repair needs and send it off to their selection of garages. They can then make their personal choice from the quote replies received and click Accept.
“It’s a convenient, transparent and completely free service. My hope is more and more garages will like to sign up and become part of the network as it can provide a great service to the people from their neighbourhood.”
