When is it on?

Predict Conference takes places on Tuesday, October 3rd in the RDS in Dublin.

How many years has it been going?

Predict is now into it’s 3rd year. Predict has traditionally been a two-day event however, this year is a bigger one-day event – with everyone in the room on the same day, (people are too busy to attend a 2 day event these days!).

What was the inspiration to start it?

Creme Global started Predict in 2015. Creme Global reached it’s 10th birthday in 2015, with the vast majority of our business being outside of Ireland (95+%) and with some interesting case studies and success stories in data science to talk about, we wanted to start a conference here in Ireland. The aim of this conference was to develop and support the data science / predictive analytics community in Ireland.
Our goal was to demystify data science for companies that were getting started on their data journey.
We were on a mission to develop our network in Ireland because we have built our own data science technology platform which enables us to manage data and develop models for any sectors, so we figured there were more opportunities to join the dots in various sectors in Ireland.

What exciting things can people look forward to for the 2017 version?

Predict is your only opportunity to see John Elder in Ireland. John is a world leading speaker on Predictive Analytics – based in the US. He speaking at the conference, available at a huddle and throughout the breaks to talk and holding a full day workshop (for €595) for people interested in the “nuts and bolts” of data science / predictive analytics.

What tips would you give to people attending to get the most out of it?

Our advice is to get down to the RDS early. We have a number of great talks which are kicking off shortly after 9, but it would be beneficial to get to the opening address! We have a number of huddles with our speakers which happen in our exhibition area. These huddles allow attendees to mix with our speakers and give them an opportunity to engage in debate with our speakers.
There’s also a large focus on making Predict a fun event with an experience zone which includes: keynote speaker huddles (as mentioned above), exhibitors, short talks, all-day coffee, lunch, afternoon beer and evening drinks reception. There is also a pre-event on the 2nd of October in Kennedy’s Pub. All ticket holders are entitled to attend. Be sure to check it all out!

How can people book tickets / when does it usually sell out?

Tickets can be booked through our website, Standard price tickets are currently €325 + VAT (various other options including student, government, and optional workshop prices are also available). Prices will increase in increments and will end up at €595 + VAT on the day.

What are the themes of Predict?
