Polaris Partners has today opened a competition seeking an intern to work for the summer in their Boston office for 10 weeks. This opportunity is open to both students and recent graduates with a strong interest in technology and entrepreneurship. The successful applicant will work alongside existing Polaris team members in the areas of deal sourcing, portfolio company support and relationship building.
Since establishing a presence in Dublin in 2011, Polaris Partners has had a major impact on the early stage ecosystem through both direct investment and the introduction of their early stage technology incubator and co-working space, Dogpatch Labs. Dogpatch Labs’ alumni include Intercom, Riffsation (acquired by Fender), Boxever, Logentries (acquired by Rapid 7), Profitero and the Coder Dojo Foundation amongst others.
Commenting on today’s initiative Polaris partner, Noel Ruane said: “Ireland has been a fertile investment ground for us and we are delighted to have led investments in successful companies here. We’ve built strong ties with the founder and entrepreneur community and we’d like to now assist in developing the next generation of technology Investors. We think this internship represents a pretty unique opportunity for a bright, driven Irish student to work for a leading multi-stage investment firm and we hope this is the first of many years that we run this program.”
