Highway1, the PCH accelerator programme for hardware startups, is today holding its eighth Demo Day since launching in October 2013, showcasing the latest connected hardware products developed by startups in the programme.
The Spring 2017 class is the eighth group of startups to participate in the Highway1 accelerator, with companies developing a range of products:
“Highway1 nurtures entrepreneurs who have a passion for design, brand and the consumer experience,” said PCH Founder and CEO Liam Casey. “We focus on helping them navigate potential hurdles that are unique to hardware, and getting their products ready to take to investors for funding.”
Highway1 has 79 total alumni companies, including this class, who have raised more than $120 million in funding, and include such companies as Ringly, Drop, Modbot, Molekule, Navdy, RecoverX, Cloudastructure and Cue. Twenty of the companies who have completed the programme have shipped products thus far.
“Highway1 continues to attract the most innovative hardware and IoT startups,” said Kurt Dammermann, VP of Highway1. “We are immensely proud of this latest cohort of passionate and determined entrepreneurs and the unique products they have developed to address real consumer needs. We are encouraged by the momentum behind the teams, many of whom have already attracted investment, have tested their products with consumers, and are developing a customer base.”
Highway1 is a four-month collaborative programme offering startups from around the world the opportunity to build their business into a successful company by focusing on their business model, as well as industrial design, product development, manufacturing and supply chain management. Highway1 is now accepting applications to it’s next class, which begins in the Autumn of 2017, and the deadline to apply is Monday May 22’nd 2017. For more information, visit here.
