From today, PayPal customers in Ireland will be able to use their PayPal accounts to pay for App Store, Apple Music, iTunes and iBooks purchases securely using iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
Customers with an Apple ID can select “PayPal” as their payment method from their account settings for the App Store, Apple Music, iTunes and iBooks on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Mac, or on iTunes from their PC. Once PayPal has been selected, all future purchases with the customer’s Apple ID will be automatically charged to their PayPal account. This includes purchases of apps, music, movies, TV shows, and books, as well as Apple Music subscriptions and iCloud storage. The new payment option allows for simple purchasing from all Apple devices, including iPhone, Apple TV and Apple Watch.
To set it up:
– Sign in with Touch ID or your Apple ID and password.
– Tap payment information.
– Tap “PayPal” then tap “Account”.
– Follow the steps to authorize your account.
