After Sir Richard Branson said that Virgin Galactic will reach space in “weeks not months”, Paddy Power made Virgin favourites (1/3) to beat Musk’s SpaceX and Bezos’s Blue Origin into space.
And he’s an even shorter price to travel to space first himself (1/5) ahead of Musk (6/1).
While Donald Trump is leading the way in the ‘first world leader to visit space’ market (Evens), where he could again renew his rivalry with Kim Jong-un and Vladimir Putin.
Spokesman Paddy Power said: “As a bookmaker, we’re well used to pricing up races all over the place – but the Space Race is a bit different.
“Right now, though, it’s ramping up – and some famous jockeys are battling to be first past the post. Sir Richard Branson is the starting price favourite, in what would be another high-profile defeat for Elon Musk.”
