One Zero Presents the #1Draft Pick Startup Competition

Powered by Bank of Ireland, One Zero has selected its Top 30 global sports tech startups. Three of this group will be invited to Dublin to battle it out for €5,000 in cash and to pitch on stage to an audience of over 1,500 delegates. This is a significant opportunity for the selected startups and the organisers say an important factor in the legacy of the One Zero event in promoting innovative minds.

David Tighe, Head of Innovation, Bank of Ireland commented: “OneZero is a really exciting development for the Irish startup community. Technology is rapidly changing how we view, interact and play sports and OneZero is putting Ireland at the heart of the Sports Tech movement. As part of our extensive support of the Irish startup community, Bank of Ireland is delighted to be supporting the #1 Draft Pick Startup Competition.”

The event takes place on Friday, October 21st in Dublin’s RDS. The event will feature three Keynotes, and 6 panel talks covering hot topics from eSports to innovation, followed up by the pitch competition final.

Clyde Hutchinson, One Zero Co-Founder and Health Tech entrepreneur and connector: “With the #1 Draft Pick Competition we are delighted to welcome the most innovative sports tech companies to One Zero as demonstration of Ireland’s role as global leaders in sports technology.”

The Top 3 will be announced very soon through all One Zero platforms, but until then check out the site www.onezerocon.com/startups to find out more about this game changing group of companies. Those wishing to attend the event can purchase tickets from the One Zero website where a limited number of tickets are still available.
