At the Business of Software conference, which ended yesterday my Irish Tech News colleague Reuben and I met Nuala Murphy who had won a free scholarship to attend the conference. Nuala was promoting her startup HappyMummyHappyBaby, a mental health app which is in the Virgin Media Business Voom contest.
Mental health used to be something that was taboo and not spoken about and one of the most common mental health issues is perinatal depression and associated anxieties, and Nuala’s startup aims to help women and families who are effected. Her mental health and wealth app which is aimed at mothers and families, screens for perinatal depression and associated anxieties and with perinatal mental health issues costing the UK £8.1 billion a year, her app has a bright future.

Later today a podcast interview with Nuala will be available on Irish Tech News and also iTunes where she goes into more detail about her app, and the Voom contest. In the meantime please take the time to vote for Nuala here and help keep her Voom dream alive.
