Dublin City Council has today launched a new tool for members of the public to rate traffic signals in the city.
‘Rate My Signals’ is a new web map tool that allows road users to provide feedback on their experience of the traffic signals they come in contact with as part of their daily commute and travel through the city.
The tool is available here: https://ratemyservice.eu/TrafficSignalFeedback
‘Rate My Signals’ is delivered by the BE-GOOD project which is 60% funded by the EU territorial programme Interreg North-West Europe.
The Traffic Control team in DCC’s Civics office will use the analytics generated from the feedback to improve how they operate the City’s traffic signals. This is done by more efficiently calibrating DCC’s traffic signals to support multiple road users especially pedestrians and cyclists.
It is also done by introducing initiatives to improve accessibility at junctions for vulnerable road users such as children, older people, people with disabilities, or those with additional accessibility requirements.
A progressive web app for ‘Rate My Signals’ can also be installed by following instructions from the link below.
