New startup programme for DMX Dublin, Ireland’s largest Digital Marketing conference

The Marketing Institute of Ireland has announced a unique programme for Irish startups added to this year’s DMX Dublin, Ireland’s largest digital marketing conference, which takes place at the Aviva Stadium on 9th March. This brand new stream had been introduced to showcase innovative startups in front of senior decision-makers in Irish marketing, media and advertising. Each startup will present within this year’s Innovation stream at DMX, and will get to deliver a detailed insight into their business before an audience made up of Ireland’s most senior decision-makers in Irish marketing, media and advertising.

Tom Trainor, chief executive of the Marketing Institute of Ireland, the professional body which owns and operates DMX, said: “For 2016, we have created a brand new stream to provide a platform for some of the hottest new marketing and advertising technology players in this great startup city. We have carefully selected some of Ireland’s most promising startups to showcase their offering at the biggest marketing event in Ireland.”

The startup programme will start with a panel hosted by Colin Lewis, content programmer for DMX Dublin, and will include some of the leading lights in the startup scene in the city, including Niamh Bushnell, Dublin’s first Commissioner for Startups.

In addition to the launch of the startup stream, Yuri van Geest an international keynote speaker, boardroom consultant for global top1000 companies and co-author of the bestselling book Exponential Organizations has been announced as a keynote speaker at DMX Dublin. Yuri’s topic will be “Exponential Organisations – The Organisation Model for the 21st Century”
In the past five years, the business world has seen the birth of a new breed of company—the Exponential Organisation—that has revolutionised how a company can accelerate its growth by using technology. Yuri has 20 years of work experience in digitisation, innovation, technology, organisation and strategy in corporates, agencies, startups and in the central Dutch government. He co-founded the largest mobile internet startup competition in the world with Vodafone Group. He has been one of the early movers in the Lean Startup, Quantified Self, Mobile Monday and TEDx communities. His work has been featured among others in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Forbes and Techcrunch.
