New Speakers Announced for DataSolutions’ 6th Annual Secure Computing Forum

Dublin 11^th September 2018 – DataSolutions, the specialist IT distributor, has announced new speakers for its upcoming sixth annual Secure Computing Forum, taking place on September 20^th at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin. With over 400 IT and business professionals expected to attend this year, the Secure Computing Forum is one of Ireland’s largest cybersecurity events.   

Counter-terrorism, Artificial Intelligence (AI), identity theft and social engineering will be key topics on the agenda with 16 international speakers confirmed, including Lord Alan West, former UK Minister of National Security; Mikko Hyppönen, a global authority on computer security and privacy issues; and Bennett Arron, an award-winning writer, stand-up comedian and BAFTA-shortlisted director.

Several new speakers have been added to the exciting line-up of leading industry experts, including Matt Lutkin who is the security assurance manager for the NHS. He will be talking about how the health service is moving on and learning from the worldwide WannaCry attack.

Social engineering and cybersecurity expert, Lisa Forte will address how businesses can effectively combat hackers. Lisa began her career in anti-piracy intelligence, working off the coast of Somalia, before moving into counter-terrorism intelligence for a UK Government agency and ultimately establishing her own cybersecurity company.

Jim Shields, creative director of Twist & Shout Media, will discuss how to effectively engage employees in cybersecurity in innovative ways. With 25 years at the independent film production company, Jim makes information security fun and has created award-winning security awareness campaigns for world-renowned clients including Sony, Barclays and Warner Bros.

Daniel Wiley, head of incident response at Check Point, and Eoin Keary, CEO of Edgescan, will also be speaking at the event with David Keating, DataSolutions’ head of security, acting as MC on the day.

The event, which is host sponsored by Check Point Technologies, will also include an “ask the architect” dedicated whiteboard session on cloud and threat prevention, and a panel discussion on “After the Breach” featuring technical, legal and PR experts who will explore how delegates can prepare for a security breach.

Furthermore, there will be an exhibition area where delegates can interact with other leading technology companies such as Citrix, AMI / DiskShred, Nutanix, Edgescan, HPE Aruba, Uniprint and IGEL. There will also be networking opportunities on the day with heads of IT, CISOs, IT risk/security managers and security architects from Irish organisations of all sizes, as well as semi state bodies and government organisations, in attendance.
