With the recent release of Apples iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus a lot of people are upgrading and of course this results in the sale of “older” iPhones. But if you are buying one of these devices how do you know that it isn’t locked or worse still stolen? Thankfully from today Apple has added a very handy tool to its iCloud service. Available here it allows prospective buyers to input either the device IMEI or Serial Number. The IMEI can be found on the back of all iPhones and also along with the Serial Number under Settings-General-About.
Once you enter either into the search box you will then receive a message telling buyers if the phone is stolen, locked or otherwise suspect.
