Netflix has announced that it has bagged the exclusive rights to show the remaining episodes of Breaking Bad, Season 5 in Ireland. Breaking Bad has turned into one of the most popular TV series ever and the remaining episodes are being eagerly awaited by fans worldwide.
All of the previous 4 seasons and the first half of season 5 are available to stream on Netflix at present. The second half of season 5 will start airing on AMC in the US on August 11 and the first episode will be available to stream on Netflix the next day. Sadly all of the episodes won’t be available to stream on Netflix straight away but will be added each Monday after they have aired in the US. Still not a bad deal.
Netflix’s Ted Sarandos said:
“We are thrilled to be bringing the highly-anticipated Final Season of Breaking Bad to Netflix members in the UK and Ireland on a first-run basis, Breaking Bad is a once in a generation calibre of show and continues to be a huge success on Netflix.”Disney+ in Ireland is set to launch a new ad-supported subscription plan on March 3.
