NDRC at ArcLabs launched in partnership with Enterprise Ireland

NDRC, which builds and invests in early stage digital and technology startups, is running an intensive regional accelerator investment programme for digital companies in the South East region, in partnership with Enterprise Ireland.

The investors and supporters of NDRC at ArcLabs, in addition to Enterprise Ireland, include Suir Valley Ventures, Bank of Ireland Seed and Early Stage Equity Fund, South East BIC, and Local Authorities of Carlow, Kilkenny, Waterford and Wexford, Local Enterprise Offices and Enterprise Centres.

The ‘NDRC at ArcLabs’ accelerator will offer up to 10 places for successful entrepreneurs. Entry will be through a competitive process designed to find and support those digital companies with the best potential for growth and expansion on an international scale. Apply here before February 11.

The 12-week programme commences on April 9. For entrepreneurs and individuals interested in finding out more, the NDRC team will be hosting a series of information events over the coming weeks in the South East region, and the next one will be at Tech Thursday Kilkenny, on January 11.

‘NDRC at ArcLabs’ startups will receive €30,000 in capital investment, as well as participation on the 12-week programme – based in ArcLabs in WIT’s West Campus, Carriganore, Waterford – worth a further €20,000.

Once selected, the NDRC team will work intensively with each company, over a short time frame, helping them to understand what value their company can offer customers, their strategy for growth and getting them ready to meet the demands of both investors and the marketplace.

NDRC at ArcLabs is a key part of NDRC’s national remit. It is also an important part of Enterprise Ireland’s overall strategy to increase the number and quality of startups that have the potential to employ more than 10 people and achieve €1 million in export sales within three years.

NDRC CEO, Ben Hurley said: “The South East is a hotbed of activity in areas such as digital animation technology and software development, with AR, VR, travel tech and agri-tech primed for future growth.

“NDRC’s successful digital focus and investment experience means this new accelerator programme in the region will help harness this wealth of opportunity.”

NDRC has built and invested in over 200 companies to date, which employ over 800 people between them. Some of NDRC’s portfolio companies are Nuritas, Logentries, FieldAware, Wia and Plynk – the latter having recently announced a €25 million Series A investment round.
