The National Lottery App now allows players to play the Lotto, EuroMillions, Daily Million and Instant Win games via the app. Up until this point users has been forwarded to a mobile version of the National Lottery website from within the app. The App is available to download from the App Store for iPhone from today.
The National Lottery App offer players game information including draw results, jackpot reminder notifications, a ticket scan facility to check if they are a winner, number check functionality and nearest National Lottery outlet locator. Similar to online, players can also choose Advance Play from within the app to take a ticket for multiple draws.
Commenting on the launch of the App, David Evans, Head of Digital, National lottery said; “We are thrilled to launch the enhanced National Lottery App today, allowing players to play and win on the go wherever they are, be it in commute, out for a coffee or lying on the beach. Since launching phase one of our app plan in February of this year, there are already over 120,000 users regularly using the app.
Right now, 50% of all National Lottery games played online are from a mobile-optimised version of the website, indicating that mobile play is hugely popular and will continue to grow. Our customers have indicated that they want the option to play online from the app and this investment is an important commitment from the National Lottery to give our players the best user experience possible on whichever platform they choose to play on. We will also be offering a solution for Android users in the near future.”
Registered users of www.lottery.ie can sign into the App with their existing account details and play immediately using their current ‘wallet’ balance. New users can download the App by searching for ‘National Lottery’ in the App Store for iPhone and tap Register on the app to create a new account.
