Today’s guest podcast is by Carol McManus. Social media consultant, speaker, author, radio host. LinkedIn Lady Show Tues 4pm ET & Social Solutions Wed 4pm ET

If you are like most small business owners and entrepreneurs, you are overwhelmed with the options to market your brand. Traditional options like newspaper, local radio or direct mail are still viable but expensive. Digital options like email marketing, social media or online advertising are highly recommended but confusing. Where do you start? How much should you spend? Who will do it? How will I know if it’s working?

Don’t think hiding under a blanket will solve anything. Here’s the bottom line. You can’t ignore marketing, you can’t abdicate responsibility, and you can’t expect miracles. But what you can do is prioritize so that it is manageable, affordable, and with luck and determination – effective!

The first Social Solutions and LinkedIn Lady Show of the New Year is all about what you Must Do, what you Should Do, and what you Could Do in 2017 to grow your business. The Must Do speaks for itself…if you do nothing else, the tips I’ll provide will give you a critical foundation. The next step up is the Should Do list. This will take a little more effort and a little more money, but will dramatically increase your success ratio. Finally, if you are ready for the big time, be sure to consider the Could Do options. What could you be doing that you have never tried before, your competitors haven’t discovered (yet), and will virtually guarantee results.
