The global automotive technology provider Keyloop based in Dublin awarded its annual bursary fund to one Automotive Business Management and Technology Student.

This student was Aaron Domoney of Carrigaline, Co. Cork, a lucky first-year student at Munster Technological University, he was awarded via an online ceremony on the 27th of May.

Students studying for the Honours degree at MTU were eligible to apply, but only four reached the final stages. Alongside Aaron Domoney were Eoghan Boyce, Kieran Doyle, and Sean Kelly.

This bursary program was launched in 2018 to give students further detailed exposure to automotive technology and management.

Speaking after the announcement, Domoney said “I would have been delighted if any of the other students had won. I couldn’t think of a better class, and they all deserve it. I am grateful to have been a part of this process and it is an honour to have been awarded this prize. I can’t wait to come back in the autumn, and I’ve never said that about school in my life!”

John McManus, Keyloop’s Country Manager for Ireland, one of the judges for this year said “The standard of entries for this year’s process were outstanding, and all students presented really well. It was a tough decision to judge all of the presentations, and each student is a credit to the university. The future of the automotive industry in Ireland is in safe hands.”

Since its 2018 launch, Keyloop, formerly CDK Global, and MTU have created 30 simulated automotive retail outlet centres using Keyloop’s Driver Dealer Management System, these centers emulate departments from modern automotive retail outlets.
