Monsoon Consulting, eCommerce provider, has announced that it has merged Iterate, an Irish UX research and design agency that specialises in delivering digital solutions on open source technology, particularly Drupal, into its operations.

This represents the first phase of Monsoon Consulting’s plans to become one of Europe’s leading B2B and B2C eCommerce and Digital Transformation agencies. As a result, a number of Iterate staff and clients including 123.ie and Openet have moved over to Monsoon Consulting.

In addition, Iterate’s founder and Managing Director, Gary Hammond, has been appointed to the new role of Head of Digital Insights and Client Success at Monsoon Consulting where he will be responsible for the development and oversight of the implementation of a range of additional professional services offered by Monsoon.

Gary is one of Ireland’s leading digital professionals, having overseen the growth of Iterate from one to twelve within five years with a client base that included some of the best known and most recognisable brands and organisations in Ireland. Working with Monsoon,

Gary will be working closely with and advising clients to identify competitive opportunities to allow them to thrive digitally that will lead to a significant return on investment. The business has also announced the appointment of Alastair Brodie in the new role of Commercial Director. He will be responsible for driving overall company revenue and business development, while ensuring the delivery of outstanding service excellence to all its clients.

With clients including the Football Association of Ireland (FAI), Central Bank of Ireland, Woodies DIY, Uniphar, SSE Airtricity League, Pallas Foods, Brymec UK, DLR (Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council) and One4All gift cards, this acquisition news comes just weeks after Monsoon Consulting unveiled plans to double revenues from a current €2.5 million to €5 million by 2021 and become a Europe leader.
