New figures out today from Netmarketshare show some changes in the global market share of operating systems. iOS market share year on year has dropped 7% down to 54%, Android has dropped 2% to 16.7% while BlackBerry is up 0.5% to 3%. Ok so the increase is tiny but it still matters. And 7% slips by both iOS and Android is a bit of a shock especially with JavaME increasing too. This is interesting considering all the talk of the death of BlackBerry and if OS 7 devices have arrested the drop in BlackBerry market share then if BBX can be all it promises the next year should be a good one for RIM.
