To demonstrate the benefits of remote working, Minister Denis Naughten will speak at an event in Gorey via a LIVE video link-up from the Irish capital.
Denis Naughten TD, Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment, will be the guest speaker at an event highlighting the benefits of remote working this coming Tuesday, 17th October, at 7pm at The Hatch Lab, Knockmullen, Gorey, Co. Wexford.
The event which is being hosted by Abodoo – the online portal for remote and flexible career opportunities – will see Minister Naughten deliver his guest address via live video link-up from Dublin.
Enniscorthy resident Vanessa Tierney, who is co-founder of Abodoo, said: “We are hosting this event to provide employers with a clear understanding of the opportunities presented by remote and flexible working.
“In recent years, technological advancements have allowed people to establish quality careers while working from home. Thanks to high-speed broadband, cloud computing, screen-sharing, video-calling and instant messaging, it’s easy for employees to work effectively from home while keeping in touch with the rest of their team.
“We will have a demonstration of just how technology enables collaboration when Minister Naughten delivers his guest address at Tuesday’s event via live video link-up. He will be speaking to those of us in Gorey from his Department in Dublin, demonstrating that remote works for business and location is often irrelevant.”

Since having been developed over the past year, Abodoo has attracted support from the IDA Ireland and open eir. The company launched in Ireland last month, with plans to launch in the UK in the coming months, and to expand globally next year.
