Microsoft launches three new cybersecurity services

Microsoft’s security business is growing faster than any of its main products, and now the company is adding three new services designed to help organisations spot and respond to cybersecurity incidents. 

In response to a global increase in cyberattacks, Microsoft have announced a multi-million-dollar financial investment this coming year in their cybersecurity services. With security already representing a $15 billion annual business for Microsoft, in 2021 it became the fastest-growing product or service the company sold. 

By adding to their already advanced security services, Microsoft are scaling up to meet the demands of business owners. The three new services will cater to small, medium and large enterprises. Among the new products being launched is Microsoft Defender Experts for Hunting. It will involve Microsoft engineers flagging issues they find in clients’ devices, Office 365 productivity software installations, cloud applications and identity programs. There’s also Microsoft Defender Experts for XDR, which tasks Microsoft employees with helping companies take action on threats. The third new offering is Microsoft Security Services for Enterprise, which includes an even broader set of people-driven services.
