Microsoft has launched Dynamics 365 Business Central Online in Ireland. From today, the latest version of the business management solution will be available to Irish businesses, as part of the Wave 2 product release of 2020 for Microsoft Business Applications.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Online is a cloud-based, all-in-one business management solution for small and mid-sized organisations that automates and streamlines business processes. It has been launched across various markets since 2018 however this is the first time it will be available to businesses in the Republic of Ireland.

Business Central Online is highly adaptable and rich with features, transforming how companies manage their business processes, including finance, manufacturing, sales, logistics, project management, services and more.

Business Central Online is a cost-effective solution that enables small businesses to benefit from the use of advanced analytical solutions, AI, or the Internet of Things within one management support system. Thanks to the flexibility provided by the cloud, the solution can be adapted to fit the scale of a business as it continues to develop and grow.

Speaking about the launch, Niall Fitzmaurice, Dynamics 365 Business Group Lead, Microsoft Ireland, said: “Irish SMEs will be able to avail of this ‘off the shelf’ cloud solution that has the capability to run their entire business and the flexibility to scale to meet the needs of a business as it grows. As Dynamics 365 Business Central Online is cloud-based, the barrier to entry is now much lower for small and medium businesses. For legacy customers, a move to a modern cloud-based ERP typically means a lower total cost of ownership over time.”

Dynamics 365 Business Central Online will be available through Microsoft’s partner network which has a broad range of expert partners including Codec, ProStrategy Sysco Software Solutions, and Simply Dynamics.

The launch of Business Central Online has been welcomed by some of Microsoft’s Irish Partners:

“Codec is a Microsoft Gold Partner for Enterprise Resource Planning and we are proud to continue our commitment to Business Central customers in Ireland by releasing a localised version of Business Central for the Irish market. We welcome this launch and the opportunity to support our customers in streamlining their processes to deliver better business outcomes,” said Sean Kelly, Innovation Manager at Codec Labs.

“ProStrategy are delighted to collaborate with Microsoft to build localised business functionality to help enable the release of Business Central Online to the Irish market. We are very excited to be involved in the Business Central launch and believe the timing is perfect. In these uncertain times, businesses are seeking to accelerate their digital adoption, enhance organisational resilience and agility, which Business Central Online can help deliver. We look forward to helping our clients streamline, automate and drive performance with this next-generation cloud solution,” said Joe Byrne, ERP Practice Director ProStrategy
