Major Global Education and Technology Health Conference to take place in Dublin

The GETHealth Summit, a major international health conference aiming to address the global shortage of healthcare professionals by harnessing the power of technology, will be launched tomorrow, 16^th October at 1.30pm at Dublin Castle.

The Summit will take place on Thursday, 13^th and Friday, 14^th November 2014 and will be hosted by iHeed, an Irish social enterprise specialising in digital training content for health workers, and the Johns Hopkins Center for Clinical Global Health Education (CCGHE).

The 2014 Summit follows on from two very successful events held in 2013; the GETHealth Summit, which took place in the United Nations in New York, and mHealthEd, held at the Mansion House, Dublin.

Speaking ahead of the launch, Dr. Kunal D. Patel, Medical Director of iHeed, said: “The GETHealth Summit aims to bridge the health workforce gap in developing countries through new partnerships between innovators in global health education and information technology. We are delighted to hold the Summit in Dublin this year, following on from the great success of last year’s event at the UN.”
