LinkedIn Ireland Expands To 2,000 People, As Irish Membership Hits 2,000,000

LinkedIn has marked the milestone of growing its Irish membership to two million people by announcing that it is creating 800 new jobs which will bring its headcount at its Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) HQ in Wilton Place in Dublin to 2,000 people by summer next year. The expansion is a result of ongoing growth of its business.

This follows last year’s announcement that LinkedIn has signed a lease with IPUT plc, the largest owner of offices in Dublin, for a new 150,000 sq ft development at One Wilton Park, which is due for completion in late 2020 to facilitate its future potential growth requirements. LinkedIn will also continue to occupy its recently constructed building at Wilton Place.

Recruitment of the new positions has already commenced. LinkedIn has grown its headcount from 1,200 people to 1,500 people since its last expansion announcement. There are over 100 roles open today in areas such as sales, marketing, customer service, finance and analytics. The balance of positions to be filled by summer next year.

Recognising that Ireland is reaching full employment. LinkedIn is also renewing its ‘ReturnIn’ programme, piloted last year, which provides customised support for people returning to employment after taking time out to look after children or act as a carer. From today, all of the company’s open roles in Ireland encourage applications from returners, and customised support will be offered to successful candidates based on their needs.
