The Limerick Marketing Collective was established in 2018 by Mary McNamee, Limerick Chamber & Trisha O’Gorman, CARAGON, both of whom, were in stand-alone marketing roles and looking to connect with other marketers. With no official network for marketers outside of Dublin and Cork they went about forming one for marketers in the Midwest.
The ultimate vision for the Collective is to develop the marketing profession in the Midwest, working in conjunction with the Limerick Chamber, academia and local government agencies. There are plenty of great plans afoot for the Collective, but at the forefront is the creation of a marketing forum for the region. The forum is an open and collaborative space where marketers can create, share, learn and support.
Support will take the form of Free Marketing Advice Clinics for any business, community project or charity that might need it. A project has already kicked off for the Hunt Museum and this is now being opened up.
Marketing Advice Clinics hosted by the Limerick Marketing Collective will see marketing professionals from a variety of sectors offering one-on-one advice to companies on various aspects of marketing their business.
During the consultation we will spend time going through your current marketing activities and what you’ve found that works for your business. We can then see what’s missing and discuss what you’ve been struggling with and your next steps to promote your business.
Mentors will donate 25 minutes of their time to hold meetings with different companies. Up to 10 meetings will take place at any one time. The first Marketing Advice Clinic will host up to 50 meetings over the morning.
The first Marketing Collective Clinic will take place in the Bank of Ireland Workbench on 125 O’Connell Street, Limerick from 8am to 10am on Thursday, March 21. Anyone wishing to avail of the Free support just needs to register on www.limerickchamber.ie or get in touch on LinkedIn or Twitter @thelimerickmc
