Limerick Chamber to host event focused on the Journey of an Entrepreneur

Limerick Chamber is to host an event  in Thomond Park, Limerick on 19 April focusing on the “Journey of an Entrepreneur”. The event will be on in the morning in Thomond Parks’s hospitality suite from 9 a.m to 11:30 a.m. The event will host two speakers – Mark Breen and Val Dolan – both of whom are successful in their respective entrepreneurial fields.

Mr Breen is the Managing Director of Cuckoo Events & Safe Events both of which provide event organisation, management and safety while Mr Dolan is the owner of Dolan’s Warehouse, one of Limerick’s most popular music venues. The focus of the event will be on providing the advice, tips and knowledge required to build a successful organisation.

Mark Breen has twenty years experience in the event management and event safety business. “20 years experience of dreaming up and running events, ensuring people at them are happy & safe, constant learning and smiling. Lots of smiling,” reads his profile on the Cuckoo Events website. Events Cuckoo has worked at include the Drogheda Maritime Festival 2017 and the Malagide Has It Festival in 2017.

Dolan’s Pub, Warehouse and Restaurant has a wide variety of events from playing host to Limerick Jazz, national and international music and comedy acts as well as hosting Limerick’s best indie and dance club nights. Dolan’s has been open since 1994 and is widely recognised as a Limerick landmark.

Both speakers are multi-award winning in their respective fields. Limerick Chamber are hosting two more events on either side of “The Journey of an Entrepreneur”. On 16 April from 7:15 a.m to 9:00 a.m there will be an Economic Briefing Breakfast in the Harris Suite of the Limerick Strand Hotel. Speakers will include Dr. Gráinne Greehy; the Director of Policy with Limerick chamber, Professor Alan Ahearne; Professor of Economics and Director of the Whitaker Institute at NUIG and Carl Tannenbaum; Executive Vice President and Chief Economist for Northern Trust. On 20 April Limerick chamber will host a Business Lunch with special guest Harry Hughes from 12:15 p.m to 2:30p.m in the Shannon Suite of the Limerick Strand Hotel. Mr Hughes is the EY Entrepreneur of the Year and CEO of Portwest, an international safety products company. Book here.
