Liberty IT Hosts Josh Long at Spring Boot Coding

Liberty Mutual Insurance’s Belfast and Dublin-based technology division, Liberty IT, recently hosted a live Spring Boot Coding Demo session with Josh Long, one of the world’s cloud technology guru’s. The guest appearance was part of a Cloud at Liberty week-long series of interactive workshops across the organisation.

Josh’s technical, fast-paced session enabled our teams to reflect on the examples and take away key learnings of the cloud capabilities that they can implement in their day-to-day work life at Liberty IT. This included top tips and tricks on how to move forward on working with Spring Boot applications, how code behaves and which programmes are worthy of production within the cloud.

Our teams gained an appreciation for the free Spring Boot applications that are available to make it easy to create stand-alone, production-grade applications, such as web flux and reactive programming.
