LetsGetChecked launches integrated healthcare app

LetsGetChecked?, a leading direct-to-consumer at-home health testing and insights company, has officially launched its first mobile app to IOS. The app is a convenient way for customers to be more engaged with their health.

As well as being able to explore and buy the widest range of at-home health tests on the market, the app allows patients’ concerns to be addressed directly, via 1-to-1 contact, with medical professionals at? LetsGetChecked?.

The integration with other wearable device partners, such as Fitbit and Apple Health, alongside a patient’s lab test results, gives users a more detailed overview of their health, allowing people to make more informed, positive lifestyle changes. The next evolution of the app is already imminent – with a risk scoring innovation that will flag potential health issues for users ahead of time.

Roughly one-in-five U.S. adults (21 per cent) say they regularly wear a smartwatch or wearable fitness tracker, according to a Pew Research Center survey conducted in June 2019. More than ever, consumers are expecting to be able to link this data together with their health app, to create a holistic view of their health.

Engaging push-notifications ensures patients are able to receive their lab test results instantaneously.

According to insight released recently by the market research group Mintel, 41 per cent of US millennial consumers say that getting results quickly is an important factor when buying health and wellness products.

Peter Foley, Chief Executive of LetsGetChecked said: ?“We want healthcare to be more predictive and less reactive – this is the next step in our vision of delivering that to the world. Letsgetchecked believes that people should be able to access their health data and extra clinical services in the most convenient way possible. Our app will empower users with a singular view of their health data and deliver valuable personalised insights – helping them to be more proactive about their health. This is the kind of service they not only need, but expect in the digital world.

Our customers will be able to address their concerns 1-to-1 with our medical team and continuous integrations with wearable devices will mean that people will have an easy to digest and detailed overview of their current health status. The app will allow people to see how making positive lifestyle changes can benefit their health in real-time.”

Dr. Dominic Rowley, Medical Director at LetsGetChecked said: ?”We’ve all seen the success of personalized health apps and self-monitoring devices. The LetsGetChecked app will be a great practical addition helping people get a better handle on their own health in real-time. Of course, it is in no way replacing the role of a doctor but rather we are hoping it will help patient and doctor to have better, more informed conversations” He continued: “As we read on a daily basis about hospital overcrowding and waiting rooms bursting at the seams, any extra way of helping people diagnose conditions at an earlier stage will, of course, have a beneficial effect on the whole healthcare system.”?
