Leading Edge Group announces ten new Jobs and new Director

Business transformation consulting firm, Leading Edge Group, has announced the appointment of a new non-Executive Director Pat Byrne as well as the creation of 10 jobs in 2016. With offices in Canada and Australia, the Cork-based firm operates an international consultancy in the area of business transformation, LEAN consultancy and training and continuous improvement in the healthcare, services, pharmaceutical and private sectors as well as significant contracts with public sector bodies both in Ireland and abroad. The new jobs are being created in areas such as consultancy, customer service and international marketing.

As well as the new jobs, the firm has also appointed an internationally experienced Director, Pat Byrne. Pat’s career spans over 3 decades of supporting indigenous and multinational businesses in Ireland through his work with IDA Ireland and Enterprise Ireland. A business development executive with an exceptional record of international success, Pat will bring his experience of the multinational and indigenous sectors to the Leading Edge Group’s client portfolio.

Speaking at the announcement in Dublin, Joe Aherne, Chief Executive of the Leading Edge Group said, “Our strategy to pursue international markets working with business leaders to implement our Lean based business improvement has proved highly successful, and we are now among the market leaders in many countries across the globe. Our significant growth in the past number of years means we are now expanding our team. We are primarily looking to recruit key staff members at the Irish and North American markets”.

At board level, we are delighted to welcome a director of the calibre and experience of Pat Byrne. His own career to date has been instrumental in growing and securing international success in sectors that fit exceptionally well with Leading Edge Group, and I have no doubt that his addition to the board of our global organization will enable us to scale further in the coming months.”

The Leading Edge Group was founded by Joe Aherne over 20 years ago, and now employs 40 people worldwide.
