Worldpay @worldpay is one of the world’s leading payment companies, working with ecommerce businesses across the globe with a focus on the airline, gambling, travel, video game, digital content and retail industries.
Started in 1989 with the launch of Streamline. The business at this point was a simple UK-based electronic payment provider that focused on point of sale transactions. Worldpay emerged later as one of the first online payments companies in the UK. In 2002, RBS brought them together – though they continued to operate as separate brands. Over the next eight years, the business continued to grow organically with the acquisition of Lynk, TrustMarque International, Bibit and Cardsave. By 2010, Worldpay had become the largest merchant acquirer in Europe – and one of the largest globally. See more here.
Kevin was one of the keynote speakers at the event and is responsible for a broad swathe of Worldpay’s eCommerce business including alternative payments, security, fraud, biometrics and gateway services.

How did MoneyConf go for you guys? What good things if any came out of it?
I enjoyed attending MoneyConf and Worldpay is pleased to support it. It’s a fantastic opportunity for us as a more experienced processor and partner to many fintech start-ups to get an insight into the latest trends and developments in the industry.
What wins came out of it?
On a personal level it’s brilliant for networking and catching up with customers, friends, former colleagues and partners who are already part of our network. The payments industry has a long sales cycle and events like this are a great opportunity to meet new potential customers and continue conversations that are already underway.

What’s next?
It’s a very exciting time for Worldpay and we’ve got lots in the pipeline. We are continuing to expand into new markets and offer our customers even more ways to pay. Beyond this we’re also working hard to leverage the huge amounts of data we collect on behalf of our customers, helping them to grow their businesses and provide an even better service for consumers.
Future trends you’re excited about?
It might sound like a cliché but there has never been a more exciting time to be in the payments industry or in the world of fintech. Right now the industry is innovating at a rate never seen before and with a real focus on the consumer. This, combined with the wider trends towards ecommerce and mcommerce, means there are lots of different propositions for customers and Worldpay will be at the forefront of these.
