Putting the Kärcher’s Window Vac through it’s paces
This might seem like a bit of a niche product. At the same time, for the Irish market, it might be facing a relevant and useful product. Ireland is of course not super cold, but it is damp, moist, and it’s houses are poorly insulated and often not breathable. Or rather originally breathable houses were then renovated and updated with non-breathable materials. This means that, in Ireland, many of us are familiar with the issue of condensation and subsequent drips and mini streams of water then sliding down our windows on the inside. Sure you can open the windows, and swab off the water with a sponge or kitchen roll, but quite quickly you can see that you are improvising to deal with this issue.
On one hand you may then feel that there is a gadget for everything, and do you need or want one for each use case you have to deal with. However if you are dealing with this issue often and across a large number of windows or similar surfaces then a product like this could then make a lot of sense for you.
Dave Moore, broadcaster, DIY enthusiast and Kärcher fan, shared his experience: “I’ve always been passionate about maintaining a healthy home, and condensation can be a real issue. Kärcher’s Window Vac has transformed the way I tackle this problem, effortlessly removing condensation and ensuring a safer and more comfortable living environment.”
Previously other Karcher products have proved to be robust, well made and long lasting. This one seems to tick that box too. The approximate battery charge time, how long you will get out of it seems to average out at just under half an hour, with around two hours for it to charge. On one hand this seems like a less than ideal ratio, short use time versus long charge time, but you could imagine using it in the morning, and then just leaving it to charge when you are done. Therefore it is something you could work around.
The price is relatively low too, probably coming in at under sixty euros based on the conversion from sterling too. It is easy to use, it would be less hassle potentially than using multiple tea towels. This might be a good addition if you have lots of windows, which get covered regularly with condensation and you want a quick blitz regularly. Worth trying out.
