JUSTIP™, the European Tech startup that has transformed the way consumers reward great service while reducing the administration of managing tips for hospitality owners, is now preparing for substantial and sustainable growth.
JUSTIP is now working with over 130 retail hospitality clients across Ireland and the UK and is looking to complete its next investment round in February 2022.
Founded in July 2021, by Ciara Walsh and James Fahy, JUSTIP uses secure, universal wireless payment technology to benefit everyone in the hospitality chain and make the giving of a tip a real pleasure for all. As technologies improve and adapt, so will JUSTIP, the platform is robust, flexible, and futureproofed.
For employers, JUSTIP takes away the hassle of managing and distributing tips whilst improving staff acquisition and retention and protecting employers against potential negative market perception. For employees, JUSTIP provides transparent tip payments with an instant phone notification and deposits the tips directly to the employee’s bank account. Finally, JUSTIP gives the customer the peace of mind that all of their tip is going direct to the person who has delivered the good service to them, especially important as we all move more and more to a cashless society.
Emma Davy of The Cosy Bean in Ireland was an early and enthusiastic adopter. She said “We have very hard-working staff here in the Cosy Bean. JUSTIP allows our customers to reward staff through a simple contactless payment which makes their day. From the initial meeting we could see the global potential. JUSTIP can be implemented in millions of settings across the world. Ciara and James have done incredible things in 6 months,” concluded Emma.
Commenting on the investment round James said “From the outset Ciara and I wanted JUSTIP to have a positive impact on society. We set out with one goal in mind “to put money back in the pockets” of those that need it the most, in real time. We looked at JUSTIP from the perspective of both the staff and the customer and from there we built a product that worked for management and employers alike. It really is a win-win for all parties.
As a result, we have rigorously examined the business to ensure we can deliver the JUSTIP platform regardless of location or currency. This next investment round is being very positively received and we look forward to our continued expansion and success, particularly in the UK and USA.”
Ciara concluded “With everything that the world has been through in the last two years, I would have been concerned if we had founded a company that didn’t have a really strong philanthropic angle. We know JUSTIP provides an invaluable service for people who really need it.
The hospitality industry has been hit so hard with the pandemic, it’s a good feeling to know you are making peoples’ lives just that bit easier. As James has already said the US is a massive, strategic opportunity for us and this investment round will give us the resource needed to exploit that.”
