JSDayIE 2019 takes place September 20th, Dublin

When and where is it on?

JSDayIE 2019 will take place on September 20th at The Round Room at The Mansion House in Dowson Street right in the heart of Dublin. We also have an after party the same day that will take place on Cafe en Seine.

How many years has it been going?

JSDayIE 2019 is our very first edition. JSDayIE 2019 is a 1-day single-track tech conference dedicated to the JavaScript community in Ireland featuring over 450 attendees and some of the best JavaScript professionals and organizations.

What was the inspiration to start it?

Over the last decade, JavaScript has become one of the most used programming languages in the world. Its community has grown all across the globe. Including in Ireland; where the JavaScript community is, and there are many community leed events such as the Dublin JavaScript meetup or the Node.js meetup. However, Ireland was missing a professional conference for the JavaScript community. We started this initiative because after interacting with the community, it was clear that there was an interest in an event like this. What exciting things can people look forward to?

What opportunities are on offer for those attending?

JSDayIE takes place on September 20th on a Friday, it is an excellent opportunity to get out of the office and meet other JavaScript professional, exchange experiences, ideas and learn something new. Please check out https://www.jsday.org/info/ to find out Why you should attend JSDayIE, How to convince your boss to buy you a ticket for JSDayIE and more useful information.

Who will be speaking?

JSDayIE brings together the Ireland JavaScript community for one day full of talks on GraphQL, DevOps, machine learning, accessibility, new and upcoming JavaScript features, JavaScript frameworks like React, Vue, and Angular, Node.js, web performance, progressive Web Apps and much more. The following list contains some of the speaker and talks:

What tips would you give to people attending to get the most out of it?

There will be plenty of opportunities to meet other attendees during the coffee breaks and the after party at Cafe en Seine. We recommend taking the time to make sure that you get to meet other members of the community and also see what our sponsors have to offer. JSDayIE could be the beginning of a great friendship, the place in which you found your dream job or the beginning of a great business partnership and, of course, it should be a fun day in which you will learn a lot of new stuff.

How can people book tickets / when does it usually sell out?

JSDayIE 2019 is our very first event, so it is hard to know when will the tickets sell out or if they will. However, based on the interest that we have been monitoring until now, we do expect to sell out. For example, we have already sold out all our sponsoring packages, which is already a great success considering that this is the first edition of JSDayIE. Our sponsors also believe that there is a need and an interest from the JavaScript community in Ireland for an event like this. Also, we cannot forget that while this event targets mainly the JavaScript community in Ireland, it is an international event and we expect to have a lot of people to visit us from other countries in Europe and the rest of the globe. The tickets are now on sale at https://www.jsday.org/tickets

Anything else you’d like to add / we should have asked?
