AMI, Ireland’s leading secure IT recycling company, today announces the launch of a new service, which is expected to generate more than €1 million in revenue over the next 24 months. The new service sees AMI grow its IT disposal offering to include deployment and relocation services.
The deployment and relocation service is tailored to meet the needs of organisations engaged in an office move or IT refresh project. AMI provides expert engineers to remove old IT equipment for secure disposal, who then install the replacement IT equipment, looking after configuration, network connection, imaging, and data transfer.
AMI has invested €200,000 in the new service, including staff training, updated systems, and new software and technology. As well as deployment, AMI can provide a fully-managed secure IT equipment relocation service, that looks after packing up, securely transporting and installing IT equipment in the new office. All devices are tagged and registered so that each item is fully trackable throughout the relocation.
AMI’s experienced technical engineers can integrate with an existing IT team or work independently to complete IT projects. In order to avoid disruption and downtime, work is carried out at a time most convenient for the customer, including out-of-office hours.
Philip McMichael, managing director, AMI, said: “With more multinational companies choosing to locate in Ireland, and existing companies undertaking office refurbishments and expansions into larger office spaces, a growing number of organisations are looking to equip themselves with the latest IT systems and infrastructures.
“IT refresh projects and office moves can be challenging for businesses. Our new service provides a seamless end-to-end solution where we ensure that old IT equipment is securely disposed and that the new hardware is left fully user-ready. Following our work, all that is left for customers to do is to switch on their new equipment.
“Security is a top priority for most organisations and this holds true for office moves or IT refresh projects also. Our onsite shredding subsidiary, DiskShred, guarantees complete data destruction, making us the most secure IT disposal option for all companies in Ireland. In addition, many companies don’t realise that their old IT equipment holds value. Our refurbishing and resale arm, RefreshedByUs.com, generates revenue for our customers through the resale of their old IT equipment. In 2017, we returned €2 million to our client base.”
AMI was recently named the Medium/Mid-Sized Business of the Year 2018 at the annual Business Eye First Trust Bank Business Awards (BEFTAs) in recognition of the company’s business growth and its high standard of client service delivery. Philip McMichael concluded, “AMI has had an exceptional year in terms of growth and overall business performance. By bringing this innovative new service to the market, we seek to build on that success and to continue to grow our business and customer offering into the future”
